Let’s Sack The Board!
Continuing to mine my photography archive I’ve brought out another ‘zine, this time in collaboration with Matt at Lower Block, publisher of photography zines about football culture.
This latest zine, Sack The Board!, looks at the footballing season of 1993-94 at Celtic FC in Glasgow, when there was a time of crisis at the football club, fan demonstrations werre taking place before games, and eventually Canadian businessman Fergus McCann arrived to save the club with minutes to go before the banks called in the debts. A tumultuous time for Celtic FC.
This work was originally shot for The Independent Magazine, and picture editor Colin Jacobson, in 1993/94. Such a great time to be shooting black and white reportage photography for magazines.
I post a few pics here in case you have a Celtic fan in your life.
The zine can be order via links above, and if you’re interested I only have two other zines currently available via bookshop on this site.
